Adeleke aka the dancing senator wins PDP primary election in Osun State

Senator Ademola Adeleke has emerged the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun state.

His major contestant, Dr. Ogunbiyi scored 1559, out of 3439 votes.

The primary election of PDP was held at GMT Event Centre, Osogbo, the state capital, on Saturday.

The process was monitored by security agents and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

One of the aspirants, Nathaniel Oke, SAN, polled 003 while Alhaji Fatai Akinbade scored 052. The void vote was 056.


The former Speaker of Osun state House of Assembly, Adejare Bello, and Professor Adeolu Durotoye, have announced their withdrawal from the race in the morning before the commencement of voting, leaving Senator Ademola Adeleke, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Akin Ogunbiyi and Nathaniel Oke, SAN, in the race.
