Late Chief(Mrs) Olutoyin Olakunrin has been described as a remarkable amazon and one of the outstanding Nigerian women in recent history.
In his condolence message on the passing of the renowned accountant, distinguished administrator and entrepreneur, the former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel said late Olakunrin was a woman of awesome attributes, quintessential professional and an intellectual of global repute who excelled in male dominated fields during her glorious career.
According to Daniel, her sterling contributions especially in the economic sector and women empowerment schemes were enormous while her exceptional managerial acumen and unique diligence stood her out as a shining star among her contemporaries with rewarding accolades and international honours.
“She stepped out of her chosen career to contribute her quota to the political development of the country when she served as a member of the Constituent Assembly that drafted the 1979 Constitution”.
“Her death was a devastating blow to the Nigerian community and the entire world going by her unparalleled achievements both locally and internationally but consoled by the solid legacies she left in professional ethics, doggedness and selfless service befitting a woman of substance which she was until her demise”.
