“ELEKA NOT TAKING N2.8 BILLION LOAN FROM GOVERNOR FAYOSE” – ELEKA SUPPORT GROUP

eleka
Independent media support group for Eleka/Ogunsakin campaign has come out to refute in strong terms, lies that are currently being peddled across Ekiti State, and the country, by All Progressives Congress,  APC, propergandists.
These propergandists hace alleged (without evidence) that Governor Ayodele Fayose got on a bargain with his deputy, and now anointed candidate for the gubernatorial race in Ekiti state, to bankroll his campaign with a whopping sum of N2.8 Billion ahead of the forthcoming July 14, and then in return, upon Eleka’s assumption into office as governor, he would reimburse the campaign loan with N4.1 Billion.
The group through her public relations office has informed the unsuspecting public to beware of the malicious, self-seeking, deceitful and baseless lies being peddled by members of the opposition party. The statement explained that Governor Ayo Fayose is not bankrolling the Eleka/Ogunsakin campaign. Instead, the campaign is being funded through public funding, payable into a verifiable account.
“Eleka’s campaign is funded by well meaning people of Ekiti who believes in his credibility of his candidacy, and who would not have Ekiti State return to the hands of rogues who are interested in milking the already scare resources of the state.
“They alleged that Governor Fayose and Prof. Eleka held the meeting at Spotless Hotel, on Thursday, May 17, that to us is very senseless. Firstly, the governor was not at the said hotel on that day, has not been around there in recent times, secondly, why would H.E leave the comfort and secrecy of the government house to go and discuss an issue that sensitive at a public hub? It doesn’t add up. They should try other tactics this has failed already.
“Henceforth, we are sounding a strong warning to any persons or group spreading false stories against the person of our candidate. We will not fail to report anyone caught in this act to appropriate authorities, for legal actions to be taken against them. These libel  peddlers might need to go read the cyber crime law again”, the statement reads.
