Governor Dankwambo, who referred to Otunba Daniel as a leader and a friend, said he was excited to see the team in the State.
“I have seen in your entourage the people we know and in whom we are well pleased. We know that with them our party is in safe hands”
Continuing, he stated: “Your Excellency, you’re our leader and friend. Let me assure you that we will try to be equitable and fair to all aspirants. Gombe is a unique State and our delegates will listen to you, assess each aspirant and vote according to their will”.
“If I was the one to decide for Gombe, I would have asked you to just go and sleep but it is good that you have come and be assured that our delegates will be fair to you”, he stressed.
He then enjoined all aspirants not to engage in campaign of calumny but play by the rules and base their campaigns on issues and ideologies that will translate to electoral fortunes for the party.
The Gombe State PDP Chairman, Barr. Joel Adams Jagafa in his speech also referred to Otunba Daniel as  a  friend of the State.  His words: “You’re our friend. If I ask each delegate seated here one by one, they will have positive things to say about you. In Gombe, we eat PDP, we sleep PDP. We are the only state in the north to survive the 2015 Tsunami and so we appeal to you to make Gombe your campaign base”, he concluded.
