Leaders from across Africa will gather in London to discuss how Africa can leverage its shared commonwealth heritage in doing business with Britain post Brexit.
Among leaders confirmed to speak at the Summit holding at the Royal Overseas League at St. James Place in London are Lesotho Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili, South Africa National Assembly Speaker Ms Baleka Mbete, Former Nigerian President Chief Obasanjo, and the Imperial Majesty The Ooni of Ife.

Leveraging our Commonwealth Heritage for economic development and collective growth will be at the top of conversations at the 2017 Summit from the 13th – 15th March 2017. The Commonwealth Africa Summit 2017 activities will begin with a wreath laying service in honour of those who were lost to the 2 world wars and will be followed by the Royal Commonwealth Societies’ Commonwealth Day Service at the Westminster Abbey in the Presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and other Royals.
The Summit business activities will begin on Tuesday 14th March with an Opening Plenary and close with a Dinner on Wednesday 15th March in Westminster.
The 2017 Commonwealth Africa Summit will be attended by government and business leaders from Africa and the Commonwealth. At the 2017 Commonwealth African Summit, prominent leaders will deliberate on the theme ‘from Shared Prosperity to Collective Growth’ – one that promote prosperity and secures Africa’s future. Issues such as energy and power, Africapitalism, trade and investment, sustainable livelihood, child rights, counter insurgency and terrorism will be discussed and lasting solutions proposed.
