Ooni visits Awujale,wants united Yoruba nation

In his continuous effort to ensure total peace among Yoruba nation, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ile Ife today paid a royal courtesy call to his Majesty Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbogba II, Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebuland.

Ooni of Ife who was in accompany of all traditional rulers in Ifeland was received by over 28 traditional rulers in Ijebuland, Otunbas and many business mogul who are sons of Ijebuland.

Speaking, his Imperial Majesty explained that their is a need for all members of Yoruba nation to come together and defend their rights.

“Yoruba must acknowledge its values and be in unity in other to develop and promote the Yoruba land”.

“Am not here for supremacy battle because all of us belong to oneGod and the King of Kings to whom we will all be accountable”. Ooni said

Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi explained further that his visit is mainly to acknowledge Oba Adetona as one of the paramount kings in Yorubaland whose wisdom and experience is most needed in unifying all sons and daughters of Yoruba.

“I will be closer to Oba Adetona to solicit his support in the campaign of unity and peace I started” Ooni said.

In response, Oba Sikiru Adetona ,Ogbagba II, Awujale and paramount king of Ijebuland expressed joy to Ooni of Ife whom he described as a very thorough bred human being.

Oba Adetona advised Ooni o Ife to shy away from history distortment from anybody, undue government influence and praise singers.

“Our paramount aim is to speak the minds of our people and provide social amenities”

While acknowledging the role played by the late Ooni o Ife ,Oba (Sir) Adesoji Aderemi for the mutual respect that existed between, saying Oba Enitan Ogunwusi is man of history whom his reign as a paramount king in Yorubaland will be fruitful.
