Recall that El Rufai has been criticised for appointing his close friends, family members and non-indigenes into top positions in the state.

The  former FCT Minister was also accused of recommending his cousin, Hadiza Shamsudeen,  as a ministerial nominee in Buhari’s government.

His words:  “If you are not happy with appointments made, you can go and climb Kufena mountain, fall and die.

“It was what you voted for that you got, because we are aware that there are people who did not vote for us, in fact, they worked against us.

“But now they claim to be APC members and loyal to the party. We know such people. And so there is no way they would expect anything from us.”

  1. Elrufai must understand that government is a continuous process and so departure from uncivil and myopic tendencies in making public speeches.

There are some composure, remarks and replies expected of a democratic Governor and this is not one of them. Somehow, you may drive home a point, without necessarily being insulting to the public who voted for you. You must understand that arrogance, pride and lack of respect for another will never earn you a score. As a public administrator, you must conduct yourself properly and desist from negative confidence and idiotic tenancies, capable of denting the office which you occupy.

The mantra and wind of change is capable of usurping your belief that has given you the purported immunity from public criticism and possible condemnation, in which this advice had emerged.

Your Excellency sir, be guided and sow a seed of good example for Nigeria is watching and keeping records.
