The lingering rift between the governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and his younger brother, Isaac Fayose must have been buried alive, as both have finally decided to let go of whatever grievances that one may have for another.
According to our reliable source, the meeting that led to the reconciliation of the two brothers was convened by the concerned family members and loved ones who strongly felt that the unwarranted discrepancy between the two brothers would affect their kinship negatively, and that this would not be in the best interest of the larger family.
The dispute between the two brothers had actually started in 2009, when Gov. Fayose and his siblings held different opinions over their father’s final resting place. Unfortunately, what ought to have been settled amicably within the family then became a public debate. Governor Fayose had wanted his dad buried in his home town, Afao-Ekiti, while others, including Isaac, insisted on respecting the last wish of their father that he be buried at his Ibadan home. At the end of the day, Fayose had his way by burying his father at Afao-Ekiti, but not without sparkling disunity within the family.
The dispute had taken another dimension, when recently Isaac Fayose took a swipe at his elder brother, Gov. Fayose, criticizing and accusing him publicly of refusing to honour their late sister, Bimpe Sorinolu, with newspaper advertorials and a prayer session on the occasion of her second year memorial. The younger Fayose had written on a social media forum, “Gov. Fayose can rush to the media houses to place front page adverts of death wish for Buhari but cannot remember to place a quarter page adverts in remembrance of his sister, Bimpe Sorinolu who died of cancer exactly two years ago today. Shame!”
This controversial statement attributed to Isaac Fayose and the consequent unpleasant rift between the two brothers again turned to a public debate that has generated so much interest. However, the information at our disposal clearly indicates that the devil has been banished as the two brothers and other family members have all decided to get along together as one happy family.
In a related development, the Founder and General Overseer of Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM), Pastor Wole Oladiyun has requested Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State to visit CLAM for a special prayer that will be geared towards averting calamities in Ekiti State.
