The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has rejected the result of the Abia State governorship election concluded early this morning, after a supplementary poll.
The Independent national Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner with a total of 264,713 votes to beat Otti, who garnered who got 180,882 votes, thus losing with a margin of 83,827 votes.
However, while party agents of the PDP, ACPN, KOWA and PPA signed the result, the APGA agent, Barrister Ahamdi Nweke, declined to endorse it, a sign that the party rejected the outcome of the election.
PDP agent, Solomon Ogunji, expressed happiness that his party eventually carried the day in the keenly contest governorship poll.
He said the victory was a reward for hard work by the party, describing the entire exercise as fair and credible.
