It has been an extraordinary year for the muliti-award winning Nigerian indigenous Yoruba Hip-Hop artiste, from becoming an ambassador for leading beer brand Guinness® Foreign Extra Stout for the Made of Black™ Campaign to his first official UK tour, touring over five (5) cities, to concerts in Dublin, Cyprus and South Africa, to the participation and recording for Coke Studio 2 and being nominated for 27 awards at 9 award shows winning one (1) at the Channel O African Music Awards, two (2) at the Nigerian Music Video Awards and two (2) at the Headies to mention a few.
The year also saw the release of a fourth studio album – Street OT, the second in a one year period and now his first ever Nigerian concertOLIC – Olamide Live in Concert.
This first of its kind dramatic concert “promises to change the way concerts are planned and produced”- says the concert curator Omoh Talabi.
Two companies – Right Entertainment, a record label and events management company founded in 2010 and Achievas Entertainment, a fast growing Entertainment Company with its core interests in Music and Sports founded in 2007 in conjunction with Olamide’s YBNL will Unleash the Beast on the 28th December 2014 at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites at 8:00pm GMT+1.

As part of the build up to the event and also to promote upcoming artistes, a competition captioned “The OLIC One Shot Competition” was created.
The competition which was open to both males and females, put upcoming artiste skills to the test as they battled to come out victorious and be part of the 3 lucky winners that would perform at OLIC. They uploaded videos of themselves singing or rapping. Then, the videos with the most likes were shortlisted. The winners will be announced on the eve of the concert with the selected three (3) opening the show.
All lovers and patrons of indigenous Nigerian music will be thrilled and thoroughly entertained and at the end of the concert will know for a fact that Olamide is a symbol of consistency and perseverance and has undoubtedly earned his stripes as the voice for the young and beacon of hope for everyone existing with the doubt of what they can truly become. #OLIC 28-12-14.
