Capt Ihenacho Remains our candidate Imo APGA

2014 GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY ELECTION FOR THE ALL PROGRESSIVES GRAND ALLIANCE (APGA) IN IMO STATE

We wish to officially notify our party members and the general public that:

1. Our political party the APGA conducted her governorship primary election in Imo State on Monday 8th of December, 2014 at the Rosy Arts Theatre Ikenegbu Owerri.

2. The election was democratic, peaceful, free and fair.

3. It was dully superintended by the Election Committee set up by the national leadership of our party led by the Chief Returning Officer Prince Austin Ndigwe.

4. The exercise was conducted according to our party’s constitution and election guidelines. The three aspirants namely Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho, Mr. Okey Unegbu and Mr Okey Eze and their nominated agents were physically present and fully participated in the election.

5. Our party delegates for the election were dully accredited and they all voted.

6. Security agencies and the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) observed and monitored the election.

7. At the end of the day, Capt Emmanuel Ihenacho who polled 972 votes out of the 1035 votes cast. Consequently, Capt Ihenacho was returned the winner of the election and hence the authentic and certified governorship candidate for our party for the 2015 governorship election in Imo State.

Therefore, all APGA members and the general public are hereby informed to disregard any claim from any person (s) or quarters of any parallel governorship primary election, cancellation of the election or conduct of another primary exercise of our party in Imo State as such are the handiwork of disgruntled persons and enemies of our party whose sole aim is to inject confusion in the party.

APGA still remains one united family with Chief Victor Umeh as its National Chairman and Barr. Peter Ezeobi as the Chairman in Imo State.
