Segun Oni’s Fomer Aide Writes Gov Fayemi Says Stop Playing Politics With Taiwo’s Death

His Execellency
The Governor of Ekiti State
Ekiti State Governor’s Office
Oke Bareke
Ado Ekiti
Your Excellency Sir,
OPEN LETTER: STOP PLAYING POLITICS WITH TAIWO’S MURDER, FIND THE GUN THAT KILLED HIM NOW. #FindTheGunThatKilledTaiwo
I am amazed at the volume of resources deployed by your party, the APC and its members at shifting the focus of what happened on Sunday from the murder of an innocent citizen to the assault on you are your supporters. Suddenly, it is all about a purported assassination attempt and the assault on Kayode Fayemi; seeking to identify the man who pulled the trigger that killed a 19 years old Taiwo, whose life was taken by yet to be identified gunman seems not to have caught the attention of our governor who sworn to protect us on the 16th October 2010.

It is interesting that your commissioner for Justice and the Attorney General suddenly came alive to his constitutional responsibility now that you are involved in the brutality that has characterised your administration from inception. The Commissioner must have being on sabbatical when this same MOPOL commander he now opened a complaint register on was used by the your administration to wrongfully effect the arrest of Lere Olayinka, who they dragged on the road for over 200 meters and detained for days before charging him for sedition.
Wale Fapohunda must have slept off his duty when this same MOPOL commander and his men assaulted Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB) and his supporters at Basiri Ado Ekiti, on the day MOB formally declared his intention to run for the governorship seat of Ekiti State. Do I need to remind you that your administration celebrated the police brutality on the supporters of the now LP candidate. You should also note that hundreds of innocent citizens were wounded and hospitalised during this attack; MOB, a fellow gubernatorial candidate also got some dose of tier gas just like you did on Sunday.
Sir, please remind Wale that you did not appoint him Commissioner to seek justice for Fayemi and the APC alone but the Honourable commissioner for Justice and the Attorney General of Ekiti State who is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring justice for every citizens of the Ekiti State.
Now that it is very clear that he Wale Fapohunda deliberately ignored his responsibility as the Attorney General of the state when the rights of  innocent citizens were violated during the police brutality against Lere Olayinka, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele and thousands of his supporters, he should honourably resign for negligence.
Methink sir that as a former human right crusader, you should be at the forefront of the #FindTheGunThatKilledTaiwo campaign rather than petitioning the world about how Kayode Fayemi, his commissioners and party supporters were assaulted by the police. Granted that you and your supports has the right demand for justice if your rights has being violated, finding the gun that killed this innocent citizen should be paramount.
Sir, why are you not demanding for a scientific determination of the bullet that killed this young man? Identifying the bullet will immediately lay to rest the controversy surrounding your allegation that the police murdered Taiwo.
For God sake, are we in the animal farm where some animal are more equal than others? Is John Kayode Fayemi’s life more precious than the one that was taken? Why are we not channeling our efforts and resources at finding the man who killed Taiwo? Why is your government concentrating attention on complicating the already complicated matter?
Sir, as the Governor of Ekiti State, I challenge you to lead the campaign: #FindTheGunThatKilledTaiwo now and bring the murderer to justice.
Thanks you sir.
