Tambuwal shuns PDP North West rally as Jonathan predicts APC’s fall

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has fuelled recent speculation that he would soon dump the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the fast growing opposition, the All Progressive Congress, (APC).
The Speaker who is also from the North-West zone, was conspicuously absent at the North-West rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held in Kaduna today.
Speaking at the rally, President Goodluck Jonathan said that the APC will end up in disaster, claiming that the PDP is the only political party that can take the country to the next level.
He said, “Since 1999, there have been series of gang-ups against the PDP, but none has stopped PDP from winning elections. I want to assure you that PDP is the only party that can take this country to the next level. It is the only party that remains stable and committed.
“When you see a party that is changing colour, name and identity, you should know that is not the right place to go.
“When you put oil, petrol, kerosene, diesel and water in a container, what is going to come out of that content is nothing but disaster”, Jonathan said.
He boasted that with the defection of Attahiru Bafarawa and Ibrahim Shekarau into the PDP, the party would win back Kano and Sokoto States, retain Kebbi, Kaduna and Jigawa States as well as take over in Zamfara in the next general elections
