Hip-hop act, Brymo can now heave a sigh of relief as a High Court in Lagos on Tuesday lifted an injunction sought by Chocolate City for the artiste to complete his contract with the music label.
Chocolate City under the leadership of Audu Maikori and artiste, M.I has engaged in a legal tussle with Brymo for some months to prevent him from leaving Chocolate City before the expiration of his contract.
Brymo suddenly announced his decision to leave Chocolate City last year after he alleged the company of side-tracking him and not fulfilling their part of his contract.
The rapper who came into limelight with hit tracks like O Le Ku and Ara was introduced to the music label by Denrele some years ago and their relationship led to the release of his debut album Son Of a Carpenter.
His decision to leave the label did not go down well with the Directors who dragged him to court claiming he still have some years before his contract with the label expires.
Brymo is not the only artiste to have made news by dumping his record label. The likes of Wizkid, May D, Skales, and Wande Coal parted ways with their labels generating uproar in the entertainment industry.
