Our attention has been drawn to yet another failed attempt by the outgoing government of Dr Kayode Fayemi to tarnish the image of our party in Ekiti state. We wish to state that the alleged “attack” on Mr. Deji Adesokan has nothing to do with the Labour Party or our aspirant, Hon. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele. We appeal to the security agencies to properly investigate the source of the pistol and campaign posters of Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB) allegedly found in the car of the attackers as we suspect foul play. It is also not true that any aide of MOB has been arrested for whatever reason. For the avoidance of doubt, we want to make it categorically clear that MOB has not printed a single poster for his campaign. The law enforcement agents should therefore help us ask Jaruu and his men from where they got MOB’s posters. We are law abiding people in our party and Hon. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, our governorship aspirant is a peace loving distinguished son of Ekiti who will never do anything that may tarnish his soaring image or rubbish the goodwill he enjoys from his people back home in Ekiti. We advise Mr. Deji Adesokan alias Jaruu and his cohorts in the APC to look elsewhere as we don’t harbour killer squads like they do.’Bolanle Olatunde-BruceMedia & Publicity Secretary,Labour PartyEkiti State
