Gov. Ahmed swears-in 3 commissioners

Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has charged political office holders to use their positions for the restoration of good leadership as the centre piece of democracy in the country.

Governor Ahmed gave the charge in Ilorin yesterday at the swearing in of three newly appointed commissioners with an emphasis that such leadership must be devoid of partisanship and be beneficial to the majority of the people.

According to the Governor, politicians must evolve “Leadership that inspires hope, that provides clear focus and champions the cause of the majority rather than the few.” Such leadership, he emphasised, especially, when attained through the exercise of popular will, must be inclusive, populist and beneficial”.

Gov. Ahmed promised that his administration would continue to promote inclusiveness by creating opportunities for everyone to thrive economically and in other ways while rapidly developing Kwara State.

The governor added that the new commissioners were reappointed based on their records of accomplishments dedication and loyalty to the cause of the people of the state.

The new Commissioners are Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, Ministry of Energy, Alhaji Demola Banu, Ministry of Finance and Barrister Kamaldeen Ajibade, Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.

Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Baraster Kamaldeen Ajibade pledged their commitment to the realization of the policies and programmes of the Abdulfatah Ahmed administration.
