”He is walking and it is a living miracle that we are seeing,” the Benue governor further revealed.

Asked on the prospects of Suntai resuming work as governor, he said: ”Why not, he should be able to resume work and I see no reason why he cannot, and I think he is very ok.”

Asked specifically if Suntai recognized him, he replied: ”Recognise me? Yes, he recognized me and even called my wife by her name and I can say that he has recovered his memory and those stories about memory loss are not true as I spent about one hour with him discussing and exchanging banters.”

Governor Suntai survived when the private aircraft he was piloting crashed near Yola, Adamawa State on October 25, 2012 and he was subsequently transferred to the National Hospital in Abuja before he was evacuated for further treatment in Germany.
