FORMER House of Representatives member, Mr. Ikechi Chinwo has reassured Governor Chibuike Amaechi of the support of the people of Obio Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ summit of the people of Obio Akpor council, Chino said that they were impressed with the achievements of the administration of Amaechi.
He added that the opposition should appreciate the achievements the administration had recorded since it came on board.
Chinwo, who was Chairman of the summit, also urged the people of the council to continue to resist temptations from any quarter to go against the laws.
“It is on record that Obio- Akpor as a council in Port Harcourt city and in Rivers State, has the highest number of infrastructure development that is being constructed by Governor Amaechi. I want the people of Obio/Akpor to support and encourage Amaechi, as the people of Obio/Akpor are very grateful. “
In their separate comments, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Mr. Tony Okocha and a former member of the state House of Assembly, Mr. Collins Ordu lauded the government of Amaechi for his projects in the council.
Okocha enjoined the people to shun any temptation to indulge in violence, just as he condemned the failure of the police to comply with the order of the state High Court to vacate Obio Akpor council secretatiat.
Also the Chairman Caretaker Committee of the council, Mr Chikordi Dike, spoke glowingly of Governor Amaechi’s administration.
