Peter Odemwingie has reopened his row with West Bromwich Albion, accusing them of trying to ruin his career since his failed move to Queens Park Rangers in January.
The 31-year-old was fined for driving to Loftus Road on deadline day and trying to force a deal. He has made four appearances since, all as a substitute.
Odemwingie used Twitter to air his grievances.
He wrote: ‘Keeping me on the bench now is worst than what they did on the 31st. New advisers told me to say it’s my fault cos it’s better for me. Threatening to ruin my career? No harm to me. Former Albion sporting director in the presence of the new and manager apologised in private. Publicly not good?’
Boss Steve Clarke said Odemwingie’s drive to London was ‘lunacy’, but the striker seemed to say the club knew his plans.
‘Drive was lunacy? Missing training that day also lunacy? They forgot to complain about that cos they knew where I was.’
