Vice President Sambo And Top Entertainers to Storm Paris for Independence Event

The Nigerian Community in Europe and friends of Nigeria are set to Salute, Honour and Celebrate Motherland, Nigeria in Paris, France as Nigeria marks its 52nd Anniversary in October 2012.

 

Between the 26th and 28th days of October 2012, the Nigerian community and friends of Nigeria in Europe – France, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom and more, will convene at a Nigerian Independence Cultural Show and Musical Concert, in Paris, France, dedicated to Nigeria’s 52nd Independence Anniversary.

The 3-day event presenting Nigeria In Europe will be the first ever elaborate celebration of Nigeria’s independence in the European continent.

The historic event is inspired by spirit of TRUE PATRIOTISM enshrined in the Nigerian Community living in Paris, France, and their deep desire to celebrate their motherland, by presenting a truly Rebranded Nigeria to the European Community and the world at large, in a country that truly appreciates arts and culture – France – a country which enriches dialogue and exchange with many foreign cultures, including the Nigerian culture.

 

The three-day celebration will be loaded with fun and excitement, with Nigerians in the Diaspora joining hands to celebrate their heritage and homeland. The keynote theme for this 3-day laudable and patriotic event; is: “Arise O’ Compatriot – Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You. Ask what You Can Do For Your Country.” – reflecting the need for all Nigerians worldwide to arise in the spirit of TRUE PATRIOTISM, and join hands in moving Nigeria forward.

The classic event will also set out to promote Learning, World Peace and International Understanding and advance Progressive Cultural, Social and Economic Relations, through Nigeria’s Rich Music, Art and Entertainment.

 

The event conceptualized and presented by Ekotainment Productions/Hemmalux Entertainment/VAUGHAN-JOHNSON Productions, Lagos, Nigeria, in partnership with Miliki Restaurant: J.J Soolifan International, Paris, France will feature a grand opening ceremony, scheduled for Friday 26th October 2012, during which keynote addresses will be delivered by His Excellency Alhaji Mohammed Namadi Sambo, Nigeria’s Vice President, Ambassador Akin. O. Fayomi, Nigeria’s Ambassador to France and many other Federal and State Government officials and captains of industry from Nigeria.

Programmes at the event will include: an Open Live Talk Show, with Hon. Minister High Chief Edem Duke, Nigeria’s Minister for Culture, Tourism and National Orientation, as special guest, the screening of a specially produced Documentary Film depicting Nigerian-French culture & arts, Live Stage Drama, Comedy Show, Cultural Dance Displays, Fashion Show, Food & Market Show and Fair, and a Grand Green-White-Green Live Musical Concert, presenting a cocktail of Nigerian Artistes performing live.

Nigerian State Governments will also have the opportunity to exhibit and showcase their respective States’ culture, investment opportunities, tourists sites, etc in dedicated customized pavilions, and thereby further enlighten people politically, socially and culturally about Nigeria, while redirecting the mindset of Africans in the Diaspora, and the world people about Nigeria on a progressive, prosperous and positive path.

Special Recognition Awards will also be made to notable Nigerians and institutions, including Alliance Francaise In Nigeria.

Pre-event activities lined up include: A Formal Event Preview Programme to hold at the Nigerian Embassy in Paris, on Monday 1st October 2012, presented by the Event Promoters, and the Event Upcoming Talents Show and Entertainment, scheduled to hold on Saturday, October 13 2012.
