Criticisms against the London trip of the wives of the Oyo State lawmakers took another dimension as the indigenes of the state residing in the Queen’s land stormed the Custom House London to protest the stay of the women and the Speaker, Monsurat Sunmonu, who had come to the country to learn how to support their husbands legislating for the state.
An Eyewitness report disclosed that, the Oyo citizens who got wind of the jamboree vowed to occupy the venue until the women decide to abandon the highly criticized trip.
The report further had it that the Speaker of the Assembly, Sunmonu who led the delegation called in the London police when it became obvious that the protesters were not ready to shift ground,The police on arrival pleaded with the protesters to disperse.
