Bishop Oyedepo wins 2billion Assault Lawsuit as Court Dismisses Case

This morning Nigeria’s richest pastor Bishop Oyedepo won his N2 billion assault case in court after Justice Ojo of the Ogun State High Court sitting in Ota  struck out the suit instigated against the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, which claimed he slapped a young lady during a church service in 2009.

The judge struck out the case on the grounds that it lacks merit as the slapped girl remains a “ghost victim”, and awarded a N20,000 cost against the applicant.

Robert Igbinedion, Counsel to the alleged victim  filed the suit on behalf of the young lady, had asked the court to award N2billion as “general and exemplary damages” against the flashy pastor.

Bishop Oyedepo who is said to be worth about 20 billion, was last year named Nigeria’s richest pastor according to Forbes.
