PM Parrot To Sue Naij.com For Plagiarism

Prokonnect Ltd, the publishers of PM Parrot Newspaper and Parrot Xtra Magazine has decided to take legal action against Naij.com for plagiarism.
Prokonnect, the publishers of pmparrotng.com is dragging naij.com to court for pilfering its Bose Adedibu interview which www.pmparrotng.com uploaded on the afternoon of Monday July 20, 2015.
According to the Editor-in-Chief of the Parrot Group, OlayinkaAgboola, “naij.com lifted our story from our website www.pmparrotng.com without notifying or crediting us. They then changed the caption to read ‘5 Years After, Adedibu’s Family Goes Broke’. Later, they edited the ‘5 Years’ out when they knew they goofed. Now others are copying from them and crediting them for somebody else’s job”.
Agboola continued that “we have attempted to reach those behind naij.com without success. We have contacted our lawyers, Agbaje&Agbaje to take the matter up. It is not fair when you take pains to interview people, transcribe and somebody just pastes on his or her website or blog without crediting the source. We are professionals, when and if we use your story, we must credit you”.
Pm Parrot Evening Newspaper and Parrot Xtra Magazine have been on the newsstands since August, 2004 with corporate headquarters in Ibadan.
The Publisher, Olayinka Agboola worked with Fame Magazine, Ovation International, ThisDay, Sketch and Nigerian Tribune before establishing the Parrot Group.
